NOTES: I'm still recovering from the party. It was a blast! It was so much fun that even did not matter what our
financial targets were. But fortunately, tickets sold more than we expected! My estimate was about 700 tickets sold
but about 500 people showed up to SRO capacity at Dish.
Gary Valenciano was terrific and Tessa Prieto was our funny
and spontaneous emcee. Christine Carlos needed no convincing to sing two songs. Most of our classmates stood up from their
seats to dance (or sway!). Galing! Missing in action were Rina Mac, Leng D., and Mimie de O. Complete attendance by Jing M.'s
group! I also have to announce here that I have the section awards which includes the gift certificates at Dencio's, and the
individual awards to Didi (most reinvented), Connie (preserved her good looks), Carmela who looked great in her costume (you
look fabulous darling), Nana for having most children (Heroic Mom).
Ona Lopez-Chung
of the prizes committee wrote an inspiring letter to the class which I will transcribe/scan and forward soon.
